Congrats to Marvin Nunnally on winning the Bates Medal
Nunnally is a Watkinsville native who received his bachelor's degree
in political science from the university and his Juris Doctor from
Atlanta's John Marshall Law School. He serves the Athens area through
involvement in numerous civic, religious and professional organizations,
including leadership positions with the Athens-Clarke Heritage
Foundation, Athens Nurses Clinic, the Youth Academy and the Athens
Masonic Association.
In partnership with MSP, Nunnally has served for the last two years
on the Georgia African American Male Experience advisory board in
support of institutional efforts to recruit and maintain a strong
community of African-American men at UGA.
