Please meet Katrina. She is a 100% pit bull terrier, very friendly, probabIy a year and a half old, possibly a (former) breeder.  This dog is obsessed with squirrels, rabbits, chipmunks and varmits of all stripes. She likes to go on long walks around Watkinsville, and does reasonably well with other dogs one on one.  Dogs lives matter.
She had been adopted by a student who had to transfer across the country, and she had to surrender the dog back to Oconee County Animal Shelter.  Thanks to social media, I was able to help save her life.

Because of the policy of the Oconee County Board of Commissioners, dogs that are turned back in are pushed to the front of the line of those about to be euthanized or otherwise terminated.

I adopted this former foster dog after fostering her briefly who was on the death row because of the outdated policy of the Oconee County Board of Commissioners.
I understand that fostering or adopting is not for everyone, but neither is dog executions.
