Here is the Gary Grossman penned letter the Athens Banner-Herald has yet to publish about a reprehensible column last week about eradicating Democrats

To: Editors of the Athens Banner Herald,

Re: Robert Ringers column

We are writing to demand that you retract the incendiary and hate-filled column by Robert Ringer, published in your newspaper on 28 April 2017 and entitled “Radical Left Should Be Eliminated” see http://onlineathens.com/opinion/2017-04-28/ringer-radical-left-should-be-eradicated. We also request that you publish an apology to the Democrats of Athens, the state of Georgia and the US, given Mr. Ringer’s following published words “America’s greatest enemy is entrenched right here in our homeland, and it goes by the name of Democratic Party. It has become a front for the Radical Left, whose goal it is to destroy what’s left of American values, American exceptionalism, and the Constitution.”
“As I have said many times, as with ISIS, merely containing the Radical Left is not an acceptable alternative. The goal should be to totally eradicate this lying group of big-government worshippers, and I believe Steve Bannon is the one guy who really understands that. “
I do not know if Mr. Ringer actually has any academic credentials that would enable him to objectively evaluate the current political situation, but I do know that anyone who has taken even a basic university-level political science class knows that the Democratic Party is far from radical. But the most disturbing aspect of Mr. Ringer’s screed, and Morris’ publication of it, is his complete lack of knowledge of the Constitution, the views of the Founding Fathers, and the American political system. To read in my local newspaper that someone is calling for the “total eradication” (killing in common parlance) of the Democrats is both frightening and astounding. Is this the opinion of Morris Publications? If not, you must refute Mr. Ringer, and his hate-filled, ignorant views, and not hide your apology on page 32. If this is an opinion that Morris Publications actually supports, G-d help you all.
