Oconee County firefighters raise more than $20K for burn victims

Firefighters collected money from motorists at intersections at Hog
Mountain Road and Mars Hill Road, the Epps Bridge Parkway area and at
Georgia Highway 53 and U.S. Highway 78. Oconee has been the top
volunteer department in the state in fundraising over the past 14 years.
The goal for this year was $20,000, which the firefighters surpassed,
raising $23,834.
