10% of the Georgia Electorate will decide who our next U.S. Senator is

Looks like Jim Martin will be stopping in Oglethorpe County 1 pm Thursday if you can make it there to the headquarters -1136 Athens Road in Crawford, next to Cook Motors, one block from the traffic light. They will
be at the Oglethorpe County headquarters in Crawford at 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 30. He asked that we try to get some people there to welcome him. District 47 State Senate candidate Tim Riley and Georgia Democratic Party Chair Jane Kidd are also expected.

Woven brightly,
Daniel J. Matthews, Jr.

Martin for Senate Contribute Volunteer

Dear Dan,

Every poll for the past two weeks has shown basically the same thing – this race is a dead heat between Saxby Chambliss and me, and 10% of the electorate remains genuinely undecided.

This 10% will decide who will be the next U.S. Senator from Georgia. Most of the undecideds do not know much about either me or Chambliss. Some know plenty, but are torn. We know that they will be making up their minds over the next eight days, based largely on the arguments that we make via television commercials this week.

Tomorrow night is the final fundraiser of the campaign. I hope you can join us at Manuel's Tavern, 602 N. Highland Avenue, Atlanta, GA 30307, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. Just as in the primary, the theme is JimTV, and our goal is to raise enough money to pay for the final day of our television campaign, which we estimate will cost $80,000.

If you can join us tomorrow night at Manuel's for the final event of the campaign, please click here and make your final contribution today.

If you cannot join us, please consider making a final contribution toward our JimTV effort. The following gives you a good idea of what a single television ad actually costs. Any ad you buy would make a real difference.

Please click here to make your final contribution today.

Oprah, Atlanta - $1,600
Jeopardy, Atlanta - $1,200
Jeopardy, Savannah - $700
CBS Evening News, Columbus - $400
NBC Nightly News, Albany - $250
The Early Show, Macon - $120
Good Morning America, Savannah - $75

You can RSVP to Christine Henderson at 404-347-9766 or by reply email.  Please consider a contribution of $1,000 - $2,300 to be an "Executive Producer," or $250 - $999 to be a "Producer," or $100 - $249 to be a "Director."  Whatever you can give at this critical juncture will be very much appreciated.

Sincerely,

Jim
