Stuart McGarity is a stockbroker in Athens with Northwestern Mutual, the quiet company (if I remember their tag line correctly). He lives on Lake Wellbrook Drive.
Michael Allen Burnette seems to like to ride motorcycles and ATVs.
Mark Capobianco runs Cappy's Custom Cabinets in Bogart quite well and is also quite conservative from what I recall.
Dr. Zengo has at least one person in San Jose who is not a big fan. This is from a website called Ripoff Report and the links are not mine:
I recently attended a couple of courses of Practical CME in Fort Lauderdale, to my disgust the courses were an “infomercial” for various vendors but mainly Practical CME. Dr. Gregory Zengo is a fraud of greatest proportion in that he is continually promoting his own products that he has a commercial interest in via Dan Kennedy. The weekend started with a poor and dangerous representation for BioIdentical Hormone Replacement, his material is very outdated and has no real formal training concerning this discipline.
His analysis of various peri-menstrual conditions among women is “trial and error” which is evident in his case studies and results. His OBGYN background seems to be his “crutch” in qualifying to teach “HRT” and I found it to be very elementary and IMPRACTICAL to incorporate in my practice. There was very little knowledge gained concerning the feedback mechanisms of these various hormone replacements which is very dangerous when trying to prescribe for your patients. I guess what bothered me more than anything else is his self righteous attitude and contempt toward other primary care and Internal Medicine physicians was evident whenever confronted or contradicted on his materials presented.
The other courses attended on Evidenced Based Weight Loss and Sclerotherapy were equally disappointing in content and teaching. The weight loss did not include any of the newer topics such as hCG Diet or on bariatric medicine which Dr. Zengo is not boarded in or is an expert thereof. Dr. Zengo promoted his own “power smoothies”, “protein shakes” and “special supplements” while ignoring the clinical approach to a weight loss patient and possible contraindications of various diets. The course was full of commercial bias and promotion where you could purchase his forms and consents separately, have dinner with Dr. Zenga (who doesn't need dinner), and his own marketing/promotion kit for a special discounted price.
Glenn Townsend runs Dickey's BBQ at Butler's Crossing and is thought to be extremely conservative despite his years working across the street at the Middle School:
March 24, 2008 - (WATKINSVILLE, Georgia) – Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants and Glenn Townsend will bring Watkinsville its first barbecue restaurant this summer. The restaurant will write the second chapter in Townsend’s life, when he retires at the end of the school year as Assistant Principal for Oconee County School District. There, he served for the past 16 years as an educator and administrator, and for another 13, Townsend was with Clarke County School District.
I know Rich Clark from last School Board election cycle. He has experience and would be a good candidate for the job. Given my track record lately and the open records request to free up this list, my endorsement could be tantamount to the kiss of death. We shall see. He ran in 2008 and lost to Tom Breedlove, whose resignation started all this. Clark attempted to be appointed before in 2007.
