Subject: [oconee] Peggy Holcomb featured this Sunday

Peggy Holcomb, Oconee County's Tourism Director (and so much more) is featured in this Sunday's "From a Tiny Acorn: Stories from Childhood," a lovely afternoon event that benefits the local non-profit Children First. The summer series, now in its third year, delves into the life and times of iconic figures in our area.

Kay Keller, President of the Oconee County Chamber of Commerce, will interview Peggy on stage about how family, teachers, cultural factors and more shaped Pegg's success and her interest in community building.

The conversation takes place at 3 PM in in the historic Meeting House (the former sanctuary of Prince Avenue Baptist Church) at Piedmont College (595 Prince Avenue). The suggested donation of $10 is tax deductible.

Refreshments after the conversation are provided by Trumps Catering. It's quite a fun event!

Come and celebrate Peggy — and celebrate and support the court-appointed special advocate (CASA) program and other services provided by Children First!
