The Pastures of Rose Creek

Hello friends! October is our favorite month here on the farm.  A coolness has arrived in the air, the rains make our pastures lush, and the crock pot is on at least once a week.  It's a time when our kitchens are full of aromas from the roast we've been cooking all day, and the warmth of the room is comforting after a long day's work.

Please come visit us at the market or at our Sunday Farm Stand this month! We have stocked up on roasts, stew meat, marrow bones, and short ribs to meet all of your fall meal needs.

Love Your Pups!

Our protector pups Bonnie and Clyde are growing up fast.  Puppy energy is abound, so we're always throwing them a bone.
Has your doggy best friend had one of our beef bone treats yet?
In an attempt to use as much of each cow as possible, we take leftover bones that are not a part of our beef cuts and turn them in to dog treats.  All natural bones are slow smoked over pecan logs for at least 8 hours, curing and preserving the bone and offering your furry friend a delicious snack and toy.  We are proud to provide a healthy dog treat free of preservatives and artificial flavoring.

Egg News

Our flock is growing! This week we received another group of birds to add to our laying flock.  They are Black Austrolorpes, a tried and true breed for our farm.  We are egg-cited to glow our flock to meet the increasing demand for quality, gmo and soy-free eggs.

At the present moment, our egg availability has diminished to the point that from now on we will only be able to offer eggs at our Sunday Farm Stand.  We thank you all for the support at the Athens Farmers Markets, but for the next couple of weeks we will not be bringing eggs to the market.  We will be sure to inform you when our egg availability is back to a level where we can meet the demands of our community.
