Oconee County deputies charge brother-in-law with murder of Chad Ruark
Chad Ruark was shot twice in the back of the head before
he was buried in a shallow grave in a forest, Oconee County Sheriff

Ruark’s body was found late Tuesday about 150 yards from where he was last seen on Feb. 23 off Carson Graves Road.
Later that same day, sheriff’s investigator’s charged
Ruark’s brother-in-law, Daniel Lamar Anglin, 36 with murder. When he was
booked into the Oconee County Jail, Anglin provided an address in
Watkinsville, but Berry said Anglin was living in Oglethorpe County at
the time of the slaying.

Anglin remains in jail without bond.
The suspect was arrested at a relative’s home Tuesday
night in Watkinsville, according to Berry, who said deputies received a
tip on Anglin’s whereabouts.
